Aayush Anand draws inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan’s Darr and Baazigar for his negative role in Deewaniyat

Actor Aayush Anand who was last seen in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will be seen playing the negative lead Rudra in Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment’s new show Deewaniyat which will launch on Star Plus on 11 November.

Talking about his character Rudra, Aayush told us, “I play the negative lead of the show. As I always say, I take it as a grey character. I never believe that a character is completely black or white. Every person has grey shades, and so does this person.”

Aayush has played varied negative characters and he called out a difference in this one. “The difference with this negative character is that I have always played a person who is negative for revenge or money. But this time, I play a character who has grey shades because he loves the main girl. For the first time, I am obsessed with the girl and it is true love behind that. He wants the girl by hook or by crook. It is his wish to get her. It is her persistence, her desire that drives him. Whomsoever comes in between him and the girl, he can go to any length to destroy the person.”

Talking about his inspiration for such a character coming from Shah Rukh Khan, he says, “It is a very obsessive character. I have always been a Shah Rukh Khan fan, been a huge fan of Darr and Baazigar. I am blessed to have this character in my kitty. In one line, his love for the girl can be termed as ‘Deewano jaisa pyaar hai.’

Best of luck!!
